On Gratitude II

So much has been given to me, I have no time to ponder that which has been denied.

Another week is ending for me, and with it the start of a new phase called the #summer2019reboot. In the summer of 2017, my colleague and I worked diligently for about 8 weeks to build key parts of the foundation on which our current project is flourishing. We are at a critical juncture, and this summer, I’m so excited to be repeating that summer to push our work to the next level. My job allows me to utilize many of the skills I’ve gained over my career, and I’m looking forward to getting back to the bench, doing hands on research and discovery. I became an engineer because I want to be able to translate discoveries to useful products to enhance quality of life, but there is no denying that I enjoy the thrill of challenging lab work that is the guts of any successful venture in my field. To cap off the excitement of my work, I get to do it in my paradise.

Work hard. Play harder.

Life is not just good, life is amazing.

I wish you all an amazing weekend as well.
