On Gratitude V

Do everything with a good heart and expect nothing in return.

It’s Friday. Another week, one loosely defined, passed. For many whose schedule has been upended, the sun setting is just the end of another day. For me, each day has become one where many things previously taken for granted are put into sudden contrast. Things that seemed larger than life are suddenly small, and the small things become the most meaningful things. A hello. A smile. Laughter. Time in isolation with loved ones. Checking in with friends. The sudden physical distance imposed on us makes the ability to connect matter even more. As the world continues to shift and the future is murky at best, pulling close together, spiritually and emotionally, provides a wall against the darkness. And each day I give thanks and pray for the health, safety, and well-being of my loved ones. And live, each moment, as if…

Be safe.
