At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.

I’ve been participating in #DailyGratitude tweets on Twitter for the month of February. I follow a gentleman who does this everyday since I “met” him in the #writingcommunity, and I admire his attitude. He prompts me to remember what is important in my life and the blessings I receive everyday. Today, I am grateful for the not-so-good and bad things that have happened in my life, and to those who have supported me during these times. When it is sunny out, it is easy to see the shadows in our lives, what casts them, and figure out solutions. But when it’s raining, sometimes it’s not so easy to understand what’s driving things and navigate the path. I’ve been watching sunsets for awhile now, and to me, the most beautiful and interesting ones happen when it’s a little bit cloudy.
